Hampson Hughes Solicitors are currently looking for a Paralegal / Litigation Executive to join our ever expanding in house Clinical Negligence department.

This is an important role in a thriving and friendly Clinical Negligence team, to assist a Director and Senior Solicitors, on cases within the department, including liaising with clients, experts and barristers.

  • Obtaining initial pre client information
  • Liaising with client to arrange meetings, medical appointments, and conferences
  • Obtaining and chasing medical records
  • Review of medical records
  • Drafting correspondence, as and when required
  • Preparing draft witness statements and Schedules of loss
  • Chasing outstanding documents and client care letters
  • Attending Barristers conferences
  • Preparing instructions to Counsel on lower value claims
  • Legal research
  • Assisting and supporting Solicitors and Head of Department with the progression of cases
  • Attendance at Court, with barristers and note taking
  • Opportunity to run a small caseload of lower value work available for a suitable candidate.

Experience requirements:

  • Ideally, Degree or LPC qualification ( although experienced candidates without these qualifications will be considered)
  • Candidates with experience of CN or SI preferred but not essential.
