Liverpool man stabbed in Anfield newsagents

The bizarre three-minute episode was caught on camera at a newsagents in Anfield. Shopkeeper Jude Jeevan described how the victim appeared unfazed after being knife attacked despite blood pouring from a wound to his arm.

Mr Jeevan said that three people had come into the shop and appeared to be friends, however, they were drunk and out of the blue they started fighting. One man was pushed to the ground and a second man pulled a knife out and stabbed him in the arm.

The victim didn’t seem in pain or bothered by it which may have been because he was drunk as he tried to use a blood soaked £20 note to purchase some cigarettes.

Police commented that the victim was later admitted to hospital with a stab wound.

The shop worker was uninjured and nothing was stolen however, the shop was closed for much of yesterday morning as officers investigated the scene. They have also examined CCTV footage of the attack.

Anyone who might have seen the suspects or knows anything about the incident is urged to call police on 0151 777 4065 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
