The most recent data released by the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners shows a 57% fall in passenger fatalities from an average of 634 deaths per year 1994-1998, to an average of 270 per year 2004-2011.

The figures are encouraging. However, statistics taken from the same report show that there remains an average of 40,548 passengers either killed or seriously injured on Britain’s roads each year.

Debunking the Myth

There is a common belief that you are unable to claim if you were in the vehicle that caused the accident. This is untrue:

  • Which Vehicle – regardless of which vehicle you were the passenger in, we will make sure that you receive the maximum compensation you deserve.
  • Friends and Family – you may feel uneasy about making a claim against the driver of the car, especially if they are a friend or family member. However:
  • The compensation will be covered by the driver’s insurance policy – the driver does not pay out of his or her own pocket.
