Cammell Laird Ship Building Company housed asbestos

URGENT – Hampson Hughes Solicitors have been made aware that the Cammell Laird Ship Building Company in Birkenhead housed asbestos flooring.

Ship workers installed and stored Asbestos flooring, ceiling and insulation.

The ship workers would cut the flooring to install into new ships or to send away to different docks. Cutting the asbestos may cause fibres to circulate and settle on clothes, hair and skin.

It is possible that family members of Cammell Laird employees, eg: wives and children, could be exposed to breathing in these fibres.

If you (or someone you know) have come into contact with anybody who used to work at the Cammell Laird ship yard and would like more advice on this – as well as to discuss symptoms of Asbestosis – the dedicated Industrial Disease team at Hampson Hughes Solicitors can provide expert advice on beginning a claim for personal injury compensation.
