One Dead & Three Injured after Halloween Attack

London police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man during a multiple stabbing attack in the south of the capital on Halloween night.

The victim, a 22 year old male, was treated by paramedics at the scene but he could not be saved. He died at approximately 8pm on Monday 31st October.

Two other men, also in their 20s, were taken to after sustaining stab wounds. According tot he Metropolitan police, their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The 22 year deceased victim has not yet been named, however his next of kin have been informed. A postmortem examination took place this week.

The Met have confirmed that no arrests have been made following the attack. Chief Superintendent Andy Tarrant said:

“While colleagues from the homicide and major crime command are investigating last night’s fatal stabbing, my officers will be carrying out patrols across the borough to provide reassurance to the community.

“I would personally like to reassure people that attacks of this nature are rare and we are doing everything we can to catch those responsible.”

Criminal Injuries – Expert Advice

Criminal injuries compensation may be available if you have experienced physical trauma or psychological trauma as a result of a violent crime. Speaking to a member of our team about your criminal injury may be the first time that you have spoken to anybody about your experience – this is common among our clients. We guarantee complete confidentiality throughout your claim.

We understand that if you have been subjected to an act of violence, your thoughts will turn to making a full recovery – compensation will likely be the last thing on your mind.

There is, however, a government Scheme that provides compensation to victims or their families who have been the innocent victims of violent crime. The Scheme is called the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme and is governed by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA).
