International Women’s Day – A Chat with Nicola

In the spotlight today, ahead of International Women’s Day, is Nicola Bignell. Nicola has been with Hampson Hughes since 2019, bringing valuable experience to the team.

Nicola Bignell, Solicitor, Personal Injury:

I joined the Hampson Hughes team in 2019, and have over a decade’s experience in Personal Injury claims. I started my Personal Injury journey assisting with complex motorcycle claims, then continued with Road Traffic Accidents until i completed my training contract in EL/PL and qualified into this area. Working in it ever since!

I have experience in Serious Injury and complex claims. I have also worked as a Defendant and a Claimant solicitor, giving me insight as to how best to get claims settled and analysing evidential weaknesses.

I had a secondment with a well-known insurer for a year, so have seen how claims are dealt with from the insurer’s point of view.

Outside of work, i wrangle two primary-aged children and have an allotment where we try to grow as much veg as possible!
