Making a Clinical Negligence claim against Michael Walsh
It has been revealed, that a doctor, Michael Walsh, who worked at the same private healthcare firm as rogue breast surgeon, Ian Paterson, has been accused of subjecting his patients to unnecessary operations, which left many suffering permanent damage.
Who is Michael Walsh?
Michael Walsh was a shoulder surgeon, who was sacked by Spire healthcare after numerous patients and colleagues raised complaints about his work. An investigation into Michael Walsh discovered examples of Walsh harming patients by executing unnecessary or poorly performed surgery on them.
Almost 200 people he has treated have been recalled and it has been identified that 50 people might have been harmed. With many more expected to come forward.
Patients who claim that Michael Walsh performed unnecessary life-changing surgery on them between 2012 and 2018 are filing a lawsuit. Walsh was meant to be performing surgery to tackle pain and immobility in patients’ shoulders. But instead he administrated inappropriate and poorly executed surgery on his patients, leaving many with ongoing pain and restrictions in daily-life.
