Driver Arrested after Seven Pedestrians are Injured
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a road traffic accident, in which he drove his Ferrari into a group of teenagers.
The incident occurred in South London on Monday morning.
5 of the teenagers were treated in hospital for minor injuries, while two others – a girl, 16, and boy, 17 – remain in hospital. According to the Metropolitan Police their injuries are not thought to be serious.
Emergency services, including London’s Air Ambulance, attended the scene in Battersea and road closures were put in place.
The driver, a 35 year old male, was arrested by police after stopping at the scene and he remains in custody in West London.
