£7,500 in compensation for fall over defective pavement
Hampson Hughes Solicitors have successfully secured £7,500 for a client who slipped due to uneven and wobbly road surface.
Our client fell while walking along Henry Street, Liverpool. The road surface appeared uneven and wobbly and as a result it represented a serious trip hazard.
As a result of the accident, our client sustained a wound to her left eye which required stitches. She was unable to leave her home for two weeks as she felt conscious of her black eye and stitched laceration.
The defendant, Liverpool City Council, admitted liability however argued our client should be made partially responsible for the accident. In spite of this Hampson Hughes Solicitors chose to proceed and the claim was settled in the sum of £7,500.
Our client was very pleased with the service and amount she received and commented: ‘’When I needed help I was given excellent advice from a very considerate team. Friendly interviews were given on a regular basis and the team was always available at short notice to keep me up to date and put me at ease’’.
